JoinerKit prices the materials from your own list, and you add the rest. The customer sees one total price, a drawing and 3D pictures: never your cutting list or what you pay for boards.
Step by step
Put your prices into Materials
Open Materials: boards are priced by the sheet, timber by the metre (or by each length you buy), fittings each. You only do this once; every job uses them.
Check nothing's missing
In the job's Cutting & cost tab, anything with no price is listed. Set prices opens Materials at those items.
Add your labour and profit
On the Job tab, under Your own extras, add labour, profit, delivery, fitting: anything you price yourself. A minus amount takes money off.
Turn on VAT if you charge it
In Settings, Your business, tick Add VAT to my quotes (GST in Australia and New Zealand) and check the rate and your number.
Make the quote
Press Quote at the top of the job. Check the wording, how long the price holds and any notes for this customer, then print it or save it as a PDF.
What the quote shows
- Your business name, details and terms, from Settings.
- The front drawing and 3D pictures. The 3D view's Views button saves the angles the quote uses.
- What's included, in words: the units with their doors and drawers, and the joinery.
- One price: the materials and your extras together, with VAT if you charge it. Tick Show materials and extras as separate lines if you'd rather.
What it never shows
The cutting list, board costs and what you pay for materials stay yours. If you haven't added any extras, the quote screen reminds you that labour isn't included; that reminder is never printed.
Prices in your own currency
Choose pounds, euros, or US, Australian, Canadian or New Zealand dollars in Settings, Country, money and sizes. Amounts are never converted: you type prices in your own money. For working out a fair price, see how to price fitted furniture.
Questions
Can I send the customer a link instead of a PDF?
Yes. Share makes a link where they can look round the design in 3D, with no prices on it. Send the quote as a PDF alongside it.
Can one job leave VAT off?
Yes. With VAT on in Settings, the job's Your own extras has an Add VAT to this job's quote tick.
Does JoinerKit take payments from customers?
No. It gives you the price and the quote; how your customer pays you is up to you.
