How to show your customer the design in 3D

Updated 30 October 2026

Customers buy what they can picture. The 3D view is drawn from the same parts as the cutting list, so what they see is what you'll build.

Step by step

  1. Open the 3D view

In the job, press 3D. Drag to turn it, scroll or pinch to zoom, and right-drag or use two fingers to slide it. Full screen is on the picture.

  2. Set the colours

Each unit and piece of joinery has a Colours section, and the walls and floor are on the Job tab. A board or timber can have its own colour in Materials, so an oak worktop looks like oak everywhere.

  3. Set the scene

Add finishing touches from Add: a TV, sofa, lamps, plants, pictures, books or a fireplace. They're for the picture only and never costed.

  4. Send them a link

Press Share at the top right of the job. The customer opens the link on their phone or computer and can look round the front, side, plan and 3D.

What the customer's link shows, and what it doesn't

It shows the drawings and the 3D view. It never shows prices, your cutting list, your notes, the customer's details or your business details. After changing the job, press Update what they see; Stop sharing turns the link off.

Pictures for a quote or a message

  • Views on the 3D picture saves the angles you like; the quote's pictures use them.
  • "..." then Save a picture saves the view as an image to send.
  • Show, untick Doors and drawer fronts to show the shelves and drawers inside while you talk it through.

Sending a job to another joiner

To pass a whole job to someone else with JoinerKit, use Send a copy on the Jobs list with their sign-in email. They get their own copy to work from, without your prices, extras or notes, and an email to say it's there.
