Most jobs start as a sketch on the back of something. With Pro, JoinerKit reads the sketch and makes the job for you to check, so you're not drawing it twice.
Step by step
Press From a drawing
On the Jobs list, press From a drawing.
Choose what you've got
A photo of a hand sketch (one wall, drawn from the front, with the sizes written on), Draw it here (on the screen with a finger or a pen), or From a photo you like (a picture of finished furniture: type your wall's width and height and the design is laid out to fit it).
Check what was read
Your picture is shown beside what was read, with every guessed size highlighted. Change anything that isn't right.
Make the job
Press Create the job. It opens like any other, ready to change.
For a good reading
- One wall at a time, drawn from the front.
- Write the sizes on: widths, heights and depths.
- A clear, flat, well-lit photo of the whole drawing.
Any size it had to work out or estimate is highlighted, so you know which to check. Things it can't draw, such as a paint colour or a style of handle, go into the job's notes.
Your photos
Photos and what was read from them aren't kept. You can read up to 20 drawings a day. It's part of Pro.
Questions
Does it get every size right?
It reads what's written, works out what it can from the rest, and estimates the remainder, and it shows you which is which. Always check the highlighted guesses before you cut.
Can it read a drawing of a whole room?
Draw one wall at a time, from the front. A job can have more walls added afterwards.
